Just wanted to take a few minutes to share with you, some apps I have found for my android phone that come in handy for certain photography situations.
These apps may well be available on Apple devices as well. I do not know.
Jack of all trades
I consider myself something of a jack of all trades, and master of none. This application also fits that description and has something that might come in handy for any type of photography.
Photographer’s companion Pro
This app has a bit of everything. It’s full of calculators and tools to help determine exposure settings for various scenarios. It’s got a built in notepad for making notes, timers, compass, levels, composition aids and all sorts of things to help make the most of any photography situation. It’s even got an augmented reality mode that can show the path of the sun and moon and more in relation to your actual location.
The Pro version that I have, costs a few dollars but it’s well worth it for the additional tools it includes. The camera database seems pretty good, but I did notice some of my lenses were not in it’s lens database. It’s still possible to enter lens settings manually though.
