Keep calm and hate summer

For some, this time of year is the switch from summer to autumn and then winter, and for some they may be dreading that. Over here in Australia we are coming out of winter, into spring now and soon…. Summer.

Here in south east Queensland in Australia our winter consists mostly of daytime temperatures around 20 degrees Celsius. (68 F) Humidity on average is around 50% during the winter months.

By contrast, summer brings high humidity upwards of 70% along with temperatures during the day of 35–40+ Celsius. (95–104+ F). The heat, mixed with the high humidity results in each breath you take feeling like you’re breathing more water than air. It’s like being tortured just for daring to be alive.

It’s also sweat, everywhere, all the time. Even if you’re sitting inside or in the shade not doing anything physical… doesn’t matter… you’re soaked. On the plus side, you could always say you’ve been working out and you’ve got that sweat soaked bedraggled look to back it up… even if you’ve been reading a book. Women constantly have wet patches on their clothing under their breasts and both men and women have their genitals swimming in wet underwear constantly. I’m sure you can imagine how “fun” that is.

Everyone, even those that claim to love summer, retreats into air conditioning and every air conditioner everywhere gets turned on 24/7…
