Imagine, shooting film
If you woke up one morning, back in time and had to shoot using analog cameras and film, would it change how you take a shot?
Imagine, if you will, you wake up one morning to find you’ve somehow traveled back in time and the only camera you have to use are film cameras.
Let’s assume for a moment that you know (somehow) how to load the film into the camera, how to focus manually and determine correct exposure using an old analog film camera. This knowledge was given to you during the time travel, let’s assume.
How would shooting film change how you shoot?
Digital cameras are forgiving, especially these days of high capacity memory cards and mirrorless systems that show live the exposure you’re going to get when the shutter is pressed.
These days you can either see what you get before the shutter is pressed (assuming constant or natural light), or you can press the shutter as many times as you need, changing exposure or lighting till you get the result you want. Aside for some megabytes used, no harm done.
