I met a dragon fly

A quick spur of the moment poem about a dragon fly I met.

Today I met a dragon fly,
His name was Bob I think.
I called him that regardless,
because I couldn’t hear him speak

I asked Bob for a portrait,
and he didn’t seem to mind.
I raised my camera close to him,
and let the shutter fly.

He looked at me as if to say,
“Now what the hell was that?”
I turned the screen toward him,
and showed to him, himself.

It was then he took off flying,
fast as he could go.
I didn’t even thank him,
for posing oh so well.

Thanks for taking a moment to read my silly little spur of the moment poem. You know what they say, better a dragon fly than a flagon dry… I’m off to brew some more mead.
