I know that AI generated art can have it's uses in the photography space. My original comments were more aimed at the uploading of pure AI art, specifically art that seems clearly to not be a photograph with no composite work or anything. Just generate an image and upload it to a photography specific site.

Can it have it's uses for photograph, yes, I don't disagree. I do disagree with people uploading obviously unmodified generative art and claiming it as their own photography.
