I hate my phone, but I also don’t hate it

In a world where it seems more and more that people live and control their lives from their mobile phone it almost seems like I’m the only one that actually hates my phone.

Sure, it’s convenient to be able to have a device in my pocket that I can use to access important information or communicate if I need to and I do use it for that. It’s also nice to have a camera on me all the time when I am not carrying my actual camera, even if it’s not the best camera in the world. So, maybe I don’t hate it after all?

I constantly find myself trying to use my phone in ways that other people seem to use theirs, but I always end up frustrated and find myself in front of my computer instead. Whether it’s shopping for something online on websites that are only just sort of mobile friendly or the frustrating inability to type properly on a tiny on screen keyboard, or maybe it’s the limitation of the apps available compared to my computer. It could be the lack of extensibility such as being able to plug my phone into a large screen, keyboard and mouse and use it like a computer…. maybe it’s that I can’t just plugin a USB flash drive to backup or copy data to without having to use adapters or change settings every single time.

I even find myself specifically taking my laptop places because I know I’ll be there a while and I don’t want to…
