Great article. I purchased a 70-200 lens at what I considered a pretty good price because it has a small fungus spot inside the front element. I've had it for a couple of years now and it hasn't seemed to have spread at all which I am thankful for. The cost of having it cleaned was a lot more than I'd hoped but less than buying another lens. It doesn't seem to affect the image quality at all and it's a beautiful lens, so thus far I've ignored it and use the lens all the time.
